Thoughts on size

Floor plan areas
24x24 = 576
24x20=480
20x20=400
16x24=384
16x20=320
16x16=256

I vote for small. 16 x 16 plus a 16 or 12 x 8 or 6 open deck (can be screened in later). Open floor plan and half lofted (2nd story is 8x16). This gives decent sized kitchen/ living space downstairs, and sleeping upstairs. Satellite sleeping and storage cabin/s will add extra space as needed.
Toilet initially outside but with common bent structure and exposed beams it is easy to extend (like the cheesery) to 16x24 to accommodate bathroom, and entry way/ storage.
In the winter when its cold you want a small cozy space and in the summer youll be outside anyways, you just need shade, a kitchen and some bug proofing. It seems small but with good clean open design i think itll work
With a 30ยบ simple gable roof and 4ft 2nd story knee walls the total height will be almost 16ft. So 16x16x16.
Thoughts? If its a go I will try to get frame construction drawings done this week so lumber can by lumbered

  1. 16x16 is good, although I'm in favor of kicking it out just a tad to 16x20. Just so we can all fit in the same room while standing
